Corporate Workshops and Retreats

1.Team Retreat

Off-site staff retreats offer an invaluable opportunity for your entire staff to pause and step back from their everyday routine. Time together in a new environment provides an opportunity to assess how things are being done.

Fresh perspectives allow the possibility of discovering different, more effective ways of working together, connecting with clients, and elevating your organization’s effectiveness. A successful retreat will not only sharpen your focus and clarify your priorities; it will boost staff morale and benefit your company’s desired outcomes.

2.Teambuilding workshop (full day or ½ day)

High energy team building activities that get everyone up and moving indoors or out. More importantly, the initiatives create a field to cultivate, examine, and discuss performance factors including: Trust, Problem-solving, communication, Integrity, and commitment.

Our work uses initiatives to generate sustainable learning that can be integrated back into the job. The activities serve as a metaphor to draw forth inner and outer dynamics and principles impacting the individual, group, and organization. We conduct a pre-program needs assessment to customize the event to meet your specific needs.

The unspeakable FOUR LETTER WORD

What comes to mind when you are asked to think of an unspeakable four-letter word? If you are anything like me, your mind has the capacity to migrate to those seedier spaces I would prefer to believe do not exist within my well-educated brain. Here, in the dark quarters, my mind can generate a list of foul language a pirate would take pride in. The S-word, the F-word, and ashamedly, the list goes on and on.

Yet, working with individuals from all walks of life for the past 20 years, I have come to realize these words are no longer unspeakable. In fact, I would go as far to say, they have become staples, even adjectives, in the everyday vocabulary for a large percentage of people.

For me, the word now ensconced high on the shelves of unutterable is H E L P. We live in a culture where independence is held in the highest regard and the velocity of life draws us into a vacuum. Competency in our chosen endeavor handcuffs us to self-image and preventing us from ever expressing vulnerability. Athletes become prisoners of their success, ironically unable to ask for assistance in any area of their life beyond their sport. Financial security from an unfulfilling job leads us to surrender hope of ever living an engaging wholehearted existence. People have 1,000 friends on social media and there has never been a time in history where more people are suffering from depression, loneliness, and isolation. The belief, “I am the only one who feels this way,” is exasperated by the medias portrayal of a world full of shiny happy people.

How do I, as an individual fully aware of this pervasive need (because, yes, it exists in me as well), cultivate a space where it is safe to say, “I could use some HELP”? How do I offer a service that HELPS individuals, couples, teams, organizations engage in the inner work to live wholeheartedly, to cultivate a resiliency to navigate life’s most challenging storms, and to unveil a latent courage to fulfill our life’s deepest aspirations? What conditions need to exist to make it, not only ACCEPTABLE, but also POWERFULLY INVITING for us to display bold acts of vulnerability as evidence of authentic strength?

PATTON COACHING is my invitation to the world to ask for HELP, to transcend the artificial boundaries that defines strength as “going it alone.” PATTON COACHING offers a safe space to do the work that is deeply meaningful, purposeful, and life enriching. “When it's over, I want to say: all my life I was a bride married to amazement. I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms. When it is over, I don't want to wonder if I have made of my life something particular, and real. I don't want to find myself sighing and frightened, or full of argument. I don't want to end up simply having visited this world.”
